Everybody knows Venice, Everybody I Know loves it and to those who do not know Venice- let me tell you that it is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. The cathedral of St. Mark to the city with its beautiful architecture and its waterways where people go rowing in the canals, to its traditions and the beautiful culture of  music and fashion, are things that are appreciated and form part of a culturally enhanced society, beautiful and in all its splendour.               But that is something that we all know- Venice excesl in the business of tourism as it excelled in the 16th century as a port for international maritime trade, being a worldwide name than as it is now. Many people see the beauty, the glamour and the splendid architecture of the city. However, I know many writerts have written about Venice and will continue doing so, because it's just so beautiful. However, I want to focus on the perils that were undertaken to build this paradise.   Venice, in origin is a

The Bullfight

In the days of youth, I went to libraries and would read  up on many topics. During one of these rounds to the library, I came across the sport of bullfighting. And while reading up on bullfighting , I came across the legendary role that is played in this game - the Bullfighter, as I call him. He is called the Matador , and he is the lead actor of the sports theatre, and he battle with his arch rival , the bovine macho madness, the bull. I enquired about this sports with family and friends. family did'nt know much, but my parish preist at the time told me it was a battle that was supposed to represent good and evil, the fight between St.Michael and Lucifer, and in this battle , man fights against sin which is represented by the bull, the huge black bull. The game is a twist and turn of anatomy, both human and animal and there are no collisions, but clashes that finally result in the death of the bull or the loss

Some High Tea, my Dear

Strolling in the restaurant mid -afernoon , taking the view of the bustling city which seemed so good , especially since i had a holiday. Through the lanes and the by-lanes, I spotted this restaurant - right in front of my eyes. The place was hidden in the urban city. In the mad rush of the shoppers and the hawkers, was this tiny hiddden paradise. The beautiful flower in the marshes - staring at you, while you stared at her like she had found a lover. And she did ... I loved the place the minute I saw it.             So I walked in the restaurant, and the sight that met my eyes!! It had kept its history alive, A British restaurant in urban India. The afternoon skies shone through the glass, lighting the place so naturally and beautifully. There were round tables in whitecloth and silver cutlery adorning them. The room was naturally lit, but it appeared like it was glowing. The stewart came up to me, and introduced me to the table, ( He

Choosing the name

Choosing the Name                           Waiting in the hospital, Peter was a little tense , but happy as well. The doctors had informed him that his wife was going to have a  baby. So he sat on the bench, and prayed for everthing to go fine. The look on his face communicated that he was going through some sort of labour himself. the tension converted to sweat on hisforehead..... which moistened his skin, wrinking it a bit. He waited for the door to open, for some one to walk out..... there were just noises he heard inside. Finally, there was a creak, the door opened and the doctor came out. He walked  up to him , there was no expression on his face. As he looked at the tall doctor who stood in front of him, the doctors face lit up with a smile and he said "You're a father". Phew! A mixture of joy and releif came over his face, as the nurse haded the child over to him - a boy.

That hate-filled creature giving you all his hate and pushing his venom inside your body, leaving you senseless till you finally master the strenght to fling him off your body ... and you cover your hand to stop the flowing feeling the blackness come over you .Fading, fading ... you wake to see the light again, but in a different way. The darkness is now your light ..... welcome to the world of the Undead.       Werewolves, vampires, zombies..... all these people are the hollywood posters for the living dead who live their glorious lives on screen. Such creatures who live their glorious lives on the screen creating their mayhem and thrilling

America - The Outsourcing Story

As I go through webpages and topicsd as to how the American Economy has been affected in a bad way, by the transfer  of business and manufacturing units to other countries, and also takeover of business by Asian Countries.                                         Globalization, as it was called started in the Nineties when America wanted to expand its base to other countries and also effect the economy of other countries in a good way,  and perhaps some hidden ulterior motives. Mant things were great about outsourcing and they still are. Many Asian Countries prospered due to this.As I was from India, I did bnefit from this concept, so I am not completely against it.It was great and still is as we are able to enjoy a better lifestyle as compared to Indian companies who did not give much to live on.Our Parents had to go abroad for good money and material benefits which were very rare in India. Companies that have opened base in Ind

The Indian Call centres

The Indian call centres                                          Life in the Indian call centres !!!! yeah. Get in any rickshaw , and ask him to take you to Mindspace, Malad. The rickshaw goes zooming out there, just be careful where you take your drive from, it hits the pocket - Inflation is a big problem in the city. once you reach here, you see the huge expanse of these big buildings all over the place. huge big buildings , silver colored with the greyish tint all over the place. Its a haven for the Indians now, they earn good salaries, they can enjoy a good lifestyle and also get to enjoy benefits which other Indians do not do , like a salary which was something that our fathers worked for years to acheive, but today college students start up with that salary. So its actually a boon to Indian society providing  jobs to the Indians from the last thirteen years . the fact of the matter is that call centers, as
